The Ministry of Transport Communications and Information Technology opens traffic on the dualization of the Shinas link between Al Batinah General Road and Al Batinah Expressway
The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology has opened traffic on the dualization of the Shinas link between Al Batinah General Road and Al Batinah Expressway, which is approximately 5.8 km long, starting 1.8 km from the Shinas roundabout towards Al Batinah Expressway.
The project involved upgrading the existing road from a single carriageway to a dual carriageway with two lanes in each direction and a cross-section width of 26.5 meters. It also included the construction of two new roundabouts with prepared entry and exit paths. The road was equipped with the highest traffic safety requirements, including metal barriers, guiding and warning signs, and road markings.
The opening of this road will contribute to ensuring traffic safety and facilitating the flow of traffic, in addition to enhancing commercial, tourism and economic activities in the region, as the road is considered a logistical link between the governorates.
