Since Its Official Launch in 2020 more than 429,000 Electronic Transactions via the Naql Platform
The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology has reported an increase in the use of electronic services and smart application licenses in the land transport sector. According to the statistics released by the ministry, more than 429,000 electronic transactions have been completed since the launch of the "Naql" platform in 2020. Currently, the platform offers 15 electronic services in the land transport sector, covering various areas including taxi licenses, passenger transport by bus, and goods transport. Through this platform, seven licenses have been issued for taxi service applications, two for passenger transport by bus, and five for goods transport applications. Additionally, four licenses have been issued for land transport vehicle parking lots to provide safe and suitable facilities away from residential areas.
Since its launch, the "Naql" platform has also recorded a significant increase in the number of registered land transport vehicles, exceeding 490,000 (passenger and goods vehicles), with more than 12 million passengers transported.
Regarding recorded violations, the ministry announced around 12,000 violations for practicing passenger transport activities by expatriates and around 8,000 violations for practicing goods transport activities by expatriates.
It is noteworthy that the ministry is working on providing the necessary infrastructure for the land transport sector. These figures reflect the sustainable growth of the land transport sector and the increasing reliance on electronic services and smart applications.
