Sas48h challenge countdown starts today Thursday 17th September at exactly five o'clock, organized by the Information Technology Authority represented by the Sas Center for Entrepreneurship during the period from 17 to 19 September at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Sohar. The contest in its 2nd edition seeks to build public awareness and create opportunities based on available capabilities, encourage champions to think creatively and establish new businesses, and focus on developing startup companies in the most demanded sectors – nowadays – mobile apps.

The idea of the competition is based on selecting 100 participants from developers, marketing experts, entrepreneurs and project managers, and will be divided into groups to work over 48 hours for the implementation of a set of ideas in the field of mobile or web applications.

Sas48h winners’ rewards reach up to 21,000 OR divided to: 10 thousands for the first place and 7 thousands for the second place and 4 thousands for the third place. Half of the value of the prizes will be given to the winners, while the other half will be given in the development phase of their winning projects. Winners will get the chance to be incubated in Sas Center for Entrepreneurship and to get the necessary technical support and consulting services.
