eTendering

 

The primary goal of eTendering is to establish a centralized state of the art procurement management system & processes. This will help in achieving higher efficiency and enhance transparency and accuracy in government procurement processes with considerable cost-savings. eTendering makes it possible for government entities to prepare, float, evaluate and award tenders online. The etendering system provides Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants the mechanism to register/renew registration with Tender Board online including printing of certificates. The system facilitates online payment, purchase of tenders and also submit their technical and price envelopes digitally.

MTC and GTB had worked closely to select one of the best solutions that fit the requirements of the tendering process governed by the Tender Laws and Regulations. In the current phase of the project, the rollout shall happen to 50 ministries/government entities for their internal tenders as well as tenders which are above 3 million Omani Rial. The selected solution has the ability to include other entities even those who are not following Government Tender Board Laws and Regulations. 

Up to date (February 2019), 3524 tenders were floated with Estimate Value OMR 2,486,379,532.  55 entities are already using the system and 10 of which using the system for both Tender and Purchase. In addition, 7758 companies were registered.

 

The etendering system is integrated with other government applications like MOCI , MOMP and Different ePayment systems and other integrations would be added as required. The eTendering system is  operated on the gCloud environment and PKI enabled as part of eTransformation Plan.
